The 53rd Ilhabela Daycoval International Sailing Week crowned its first champions on Friday (31st) at the Ilhabela Yacht Club, after another day of racing in the São Sebastião Channel.
The Super 40 Championship, after eight races, and the traditional Team Trophy found their winners, while six classes head into the final day with the titles completely open.
The last races, on Saturday (1st), will decide the champions of Latin America's leading offshore sailing competition. The 2026 edition brings together 127 boats from different Brazilian states, plus teams from Argentina and Uruguay.
So far, 10 races have been sailed in the ORC and C30 classes, nine in the HPE25, seven in the BRA-RGS, six in the RGS Classics and five in the RGS Cruiser.
The first confirmed title went to the Super 40 Championship, which brings together some of the leading boats in South American offshore sailing. Onda, of ICS, skippered by Eduardo Souza Ramos, took the championship after finishing on 11 points once the discard was applied.
4Z Phytoervas, defending a run of three straight titles, tried to overturn the advantage of Eduardo Souza Ramos's crew with two wins and a second place on the day, but finished runner-up, followed by Saci, completing a podium made up exclusively of Soto 40 boats.
Another decision of the day was the Team Trophy, one of the most traditional awards of the Ilhabela International Sailing Week. The Imperador Pirata no Vento Azul team took the title with 46 points and received the Pen Duick II perpetual trophy, a tribute to the legendary yacht of Frenchman Éric Tabarly, winner of the 1964 OSTAR transatlantic race.
The winning trio was made up of the boats Sandokan (ORC), Kamehameha (Classics) and Blue Wind (RGS Cruiser).
